At Sider Bros. Builders, we embody the design-build philosophy, offering all the services you need to design and build your home under one roof. Whether you come to us with architectural plans or want us to create an original, custom design with your input, the first step is always a blueprint. From there, we will manage the entire permitting process and get your building site ready for construction.
Our design team will help you curate a design style that’s unique to you and your personality, and reflective of your needs and the way you live. Then, we’ll work side-by-side through the finish selection process, helping you choose high-quality finishes to achieve your desired aesthetic.
Once construction begins, our expert carpenters start making your dream a reality. We work closely with a handful of carefully selected trade partners to bring specialty services to your home. We have longstanding relationships with each of our sub-trades and work with only those partners that share our commitment to quality and exceptional customer service.
AN OPEN-DOOR POLICY
We’re building your home, so naturally we have an open-door policy for site visits. We encourage you to visit the site at your convenience, no need to call ahead or book an appointment. A walk through the home, or time spent enjoying the views and envisioning life in your new space, often yields ideas and reflections on the original design that can be addressed at any time.
After only a few visits, you’ll see that our carpenters and trades care about the end result as much as you do, and together, we’re relentless in our pursuit of excellence.
THE SIDER MILL
The Sider Mill is not to be confused with a cider mill – there are no apples in this mill, but there’s enough wood to fill an orchard! Sider Bros. Builders is the only custom home builder in the Niagara Region with a private mill in which we handcraft all of our custom millwork. All doors, trim and mouldings will be custom designed and crafted right here in our shop, under Wayne Sider’s direction. With that level of customization, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.

What is meant by a “Custom Home”?A custom home refers to the fact that with the help of our expert assistance, the entire build, both interior and exterior, will be customized to reflect the design visions of the client.

How fast can Sider Bros. typically build a home?It depends on the complexity and the size of the build, however usually from start to finish the whole process can typically range from 12-18 months.

What regions in Ontario does Sider Bros. build custom homes?Most of our builds are in the Niagara Region which includes Ridgeway, Fort Erie, Niagara-on-the-lake, Niagara Falls, St. Catherines and Port Colborne.

Where to buy property along Lake Erie?Since Sider Bros. was established in the Niagara Region as well as most of our workers grew up in the area, we are very qualified in the area and willing to aid you in the process of finding your dream build location.

What do we build in our shop?Sider Bros. is the only custom home builder in the Niagara Region with a private mill in which we handcraft all of our custom millwork. All doors, trim and moldings will be custom designed and crafted right here in our shop, under Wayne Sider’s direction.

How big of a home can I build on my lot?This will depend on the size of the lot and the zoning of your property, different property zonings will have different setbacks from property lines. Sider Bros. would be happy to help you determine your zoning and the buildable area on your property.
